.Yarmouth- Marion (MARNIE) Ham died peacefully at Hawthorne House in Freeport ME on August 8, 2017.
Marion was born in Auburn ME on December 31, 1926. She attended Edward Little High School and was a member of the graduating glass of 1944, attending Class Reunions whenever they were held. Marion lived in Maine her entire life. She loved the outdoors and all its activities. She planned and led six trips down the Allagash. She taught Hunter Safety course for the State of Maine and walked in hundreds of Volksmarches. She started and taught the Yarmouth Adult Fitness program for 12 years. She lived in Turner and taught many of the children of Turner how to swim. She presented Native American drums and how they were made to the Yarmouth Second Graders. There were no strangers to Marion only friends to meet. Marion had a heart the size of the outdoors she loved so much and lived the Golden rule. She raised four daughters and passed her love of people and the outdoors on to them and to her close friend she lived with in Yarmouth for 45 years.
She was predeceased by her oldest daughter Roberta Richmond.
She is survived by the love of her daughters; Vicki Delaski and her husband Mark of WI; Kim Ham and Terri Ham, both of Turner; Vicki's children, Kristina Delaski and her husband Jeff Brown, Anthony Delaski and his fiancé Suzanne Webster and their daughter Abigail; Robbie's children, Johanna Richmond, her daughter Erin and her sons Eli and Luke, Peter Richmond and his wife Judy; her longtime friend and confidant Jean Bissonnette of Yarmouth ME. She is also survived by a very special cousin Shirley Cooper and many other cousins.
A Service of Remembrance of Marion's life will be held at the convenience of her daughters. Her final resting place will be in the Allagash ME area with her fishing buddy Jack.
If you wish to remember Marion, do a kind deed, she lived her life doing that. Show love; give a smile or words of encouragement to someone who needs it. If you do that, she will live forever in your heart.
